The processing of brazed spiral finned tubes is divided into two steps. Firstly, wrap the steel strip perpendicular to the axis of the pipe in a spiral manner around the outer surface of the pipe, and weld both ends of the steel strip to the steel pipe for fixation. A set made by manual methods is called a handmade set. It uses tools and human power to press the fins in one by one. This method has limited pressing force on the fins, resulting in a small interference fit of the set and easy loosening of the fins. Mechanical fin assembly is carried out on a fin assembly machine. Due to the fact that the fin pressing relies on mechanical impact force or liquid pressure, the pressing force is large, so a larger interference fit can be used.
The bonding strength between fins and tubes is high and not easy to loosen. Mechanical transmission machines have high productivity, but high noise levels, poor safety, and poor working conditions for workers. Although hydraulic transmission does not have the above-mentioned problems, the equipment price is relatively expensive, and the technical requirements for maintenance personnel are high, resulting in lower productivity.
