Metal wire mesh demister
The function of the wire mesh demister is that when gas with mist rises through the wire mesh at a certain speed, due to the inertia of the mist rising, the mist collides with the wire mesh filaments and adheres to the surface of the filaments. The diffusion of mist on the surface of the filament and the gravitational settling of the mist result in the formation of larger droplets that flow along the filament to the junction of the two filaments. The wettability of the filament, the surface tension of the liquid, and the capillary action of the filament cause the droplet to become larger and larger, until the aggregated droplet becomes so large that its own gravity exceeds the combined force of the gas lift force and the liquid surface tension, and the droplet separates from the filament and falls down.
