Our company (Dier Chemical Packing Co., Ltd., Pingxiang City, Jiangxi Province) provided on-site guidance to a customer of a refining company on the installation of stainless steel corrugated plate regular packing (available in two models, 2.0A and 1.5A, with a total quantity of 230 cubic meters, made of 316L material). The customer used it for the maintenance and replacement of the pressure reducing tower packing. Our company sent personnel to the site to guide and arrange the plating, lifting, and tower entry according to the on-site replacement sequence, in order to gain more maintenance time for the customer.
The installation method of regular packing is as follows:
Before installing each piece of packing, carefully disassemble it and arrange it in line according to its assembly drawing box number. Find the required number and number of blocks for each tray, and assemble the entire tray on a spacious and flat ground. When installing the packing, the installation personnel should not stand in the middle of the tower section, as this can easily form a "pot bottom" phenomenon with high, medium, and low areas around. Each packing assembly requires the use of a skateboard for installation. Due to the non roundness of the tower and other reasons, it is sometimes necessary to add or remove pieces of packing as appropriate to make the packing suitable for the tower body. Installing the packing too tightly can cause deformation of the packing sheet, increase the total height of the packing, make the upper end face uneven, and decrease the efficiency flux. Similarly, if the packing is installed too loosely, it can lead to uneven gas-liquid distribution and a decrease in separation efficiency. Usually, the installation starts from one end and ends at the other end. The direction of the corrugated sheet of the disk packing is at a 45 ℃ angle to the direction of the support plate, and the corrugated sheets of adjacent disks are at a 90 ℃ angle. The starting position for installing each tray of packing is every four trays of packing per cycle. By rotating the packing tray clockwise (or counterclockwise), the horizontal error of the upper end face of the packing can be reduced. Remove the corners of the packing after each installation is completed. Corrugated plate regular packing is an efficient regular packing that is specifically produced according to the requirements of different tower diameters, steam speeds, and spray densities of users. Different tower diameters have different block sizes allocated, and are assembled according to the assembly drawing and placed in the corresponding position until the design height is reached.
