The operation uses biochemical reaction methods to detect ATP content, and the ATP fluorescence detector is based on the principle of firefly luminescence, using the "luciferase luciferin system" to quickly detect adenosine triphosphate (ATP). ATP swabs contain reagents that can be lysed, which can release ATP from cells and react with specific enzymes contained in the reagents to produce light. The luminescence value is then detected using a fluorescence lux meter. The number of microorganisms is proportional to the luminescence value. Since all living cells contain a constant amount of ATP, the ATP content can clearly indicate the amount of residual microorganisms and other organisms in the sample, which is used to determine the hygiene condition.
