Description :

In the entire production process of building timber, the drying of the core board, the finishing of the billet, the hot pressing, the trimming, and the sanding have an impact on the wood loss, which is divided into tangible loss (with processing residues) and intangible loss (drying shrinkage and compression). The loss of timber is related to factors such as the type of timber, timber specifications, equipment condition, process technology, and finished board specifications.

Drying of building wooden square core board: The core board after rotary cutting has a high moisture content, and the core board is dried to meet the requirements of the bonding process. After drying, the size of the wood decreases, which is called shrinkage. Due to the decrease in moisture content, the length, width, and thickness of the core board will dry shrink. The shrinkage loss is related to factors such as the tree species of the core board, the moisture content of the core board, and the thickness of the core board. The shrinkage loss rate is generally 4% to 10%. Assembly finishing: Assembly finishing includes cutting, splicing, and repairing. Cut the dried strip core board and zero piece core board into specification core board and spliceable core board. The narrow strip core board is spliced into a whole core board. Defective whole core boards can be repaired to meet the quality requirements of the process. The amount of waste core boards generated in this process is mainly related to factors such as the familiarity of the operators with the core board standards and the quality of the core boards. The loss rate is generally 2% to 4%.

Building wood hot pressing: The glued and assembled slab is firmly bonded together at a certain temperature and pressure. During hot pressing, as the temperature and moisture content of the slab change, the wood is gradually compressed and the thickness of the slab gradually decreases. This loss is compression loss, which is related to factors such as the hot pressing temperature, unit pressure, hot pressing time, tree species, and moisture content of the building timber. The loss rate is generally 3% to 8%.
