Description :
Internally and externally coated plastic steel pipes are a new type of composite pipe developed specifically for water supply and drainage. This composite pipe combines the characteristics of various pipes, including the steel and hardness of steel pipes, as well as the wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and low friction coefficient of plastic pipes. It is a cost-effective green and energy-saving pipe material. Widely used in industrial water supply and drainage, domestic water supply and drainage, seawater treatment, HVAC circulating water, and chemical fluid transportation, it is known as the "green building material" title. There are three common methods for connecting coated steel pipes, namely threaded connection, flange connection, and groove connection. Threaded connection is a traditional form commonly used between DN15-100 pipes. The connection technology includes multiple steps such as threading, deburring, chamfering of plastic lined pipes, cutting, anti-corrosion of screws, and connection. The length of the threading varies depending on the use of the pipe fittings, but one thing is the same, which is to ensure that the end face of the pipe touches the silicone rubber at the root and conforms to the formation of a secondary seal. Pipeline devices with working pressure ≥ 1.6MPa can be applied. The advantage of threaded connection is low cost, simple and convenient operation, but it is easily limited by the diameter.


The inner and outer plastic coated steel pipes are made by using powder coating with extremely small particle size (80 mesh), which is heated and rotated to melt plastic powder according to the capillary principle and penetrate into the micropores of the steel pipe, mixing the lining layer and the inner surface of the steel pipe into one. After the plastic powder is coated on the inner surface of the steel pipe, it is slowly cooled to form the plastic lining layer. The plastic lining layer has no internal stress and is fully bonded to the steel pipe, so the bonding strength is good; Coated (rolled) plastic composite steel pipes have no diameter limit, and the thickness of the lining layer can be freely selected. Depending on the corrosive medium conditions, different lining thicknesses can be chosen, and the length can also reach 6-12 meters; For the same nominal diameter, the inner lining of the coated (rolled) plastic composite steel pipe is generally between 0.5-1mm. The inner surface of the pipe is smooth, with low friction coefficient and wear coefficient. The fluid loss inside the pipe is small, and the conveying flow rate is large, achieving high efficiency and energy saving. The processing technology of fire protection coated pipes is divided into four types: hot-dip molding, high-pressure static spraying, rotational molding, and encapsulation. Moreover, the processing procedures vary depending on the connection method. The raw materials required for this product are plastic powder and steel pipes. At the beginning of the entire processing, raw materials need to be purchased. The plastic powder commonly used for firefighting is epoxy resin, and the steel pipe models used are seamless steel pipes, straight seam steel pipes, or spiral pipes. After the raw materials are purchased, they need to be inspected, especially the steel pipe model, length, and wall thickness need to be measured. Next, cut the steel pipe into the required length specifications, and polish and deburr the ends of the pipe.
Epoxy powder coating is a coating mainly composed of powder plastic, and its performance is basically determined by the properties of the main plastic. Plastics can be divided into two categories based on their performance changes after heating: thermoplastic plastics and thermosetting plastics. Thermoplastic is generally made from polymer resins as the basic component, with a small amount of stabilizers, lubricants, or plasticizers added (or not added). The characteristic of this type of plastic is that it softens when heated, has plasticity, and can be repeatedly molded. Typically, thermoplastic materials have excellent chemical corrosion resistance, toughness, and elongation. Common thermoplastic materials include polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinyl chloride, polystyrene, polycarbonate, polytetrafluoroethylene, nylon, polyphenylene sulfide, chlorinated polyether, ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer, etc. Thermosetting plastics are made from concentrated cluster resin as the basic component, with additives such as fillers and curing agents added.
