Description :
Coated steel pipes are products that use PE (modified polyethylene) for hot-dip molding or EP (epoxy resin) for internal and external coating, and have excellent corrosion resistance. At the same time, the coating itself also has good electrical insulation and will not produce electrical corrosion. Low water absorption rate, high mechanical strength, low friction coefficient, capable of achieving long-term use. It can also effectively prevent damage to plant roots and soil environmental stress. Convenient connection and easy maintenance.
The specifications, types, and connection methods of cable coated steel pipes have been diversified, with the smallest specification being able to produce up to 15mm and the largest being unrestricted. Its types include external galvanizing and internal coating, internal and external coating, etc. It belongs to the multi-purpose type and can be used in any other field. The connection method adopts welding, groove, flange and wire connection, among which welding can use bimetallic or non-destructive welding methods.




The connection method and requirements for coated composite pipes are as follows:
(1) First, weld flanges on both ends of the steel pipe. The flanges should be firmly welded and then coated with polyethylene. During installation, install a sealing gasket between the two flanges of the coated composite pipe and tighten it with bolts.
(2) To ensure that the pipeline does not experience axial movement under pressure or water hammer, it should be fixed using supports, brackets, hangers, etc. When fixing, it should be considered that the pipeline will not shift when phenomena such as swinging and bending under pressure occur. For pipes installed vertically, the distance between two fixed points should not exceed 2m. For horizontal installation, the distance between two fixed points should not exceed 750mm for coated composite pipes with a nominal outer diameter less than 76mm, and 1100mm for coated composite pipes with a nominal outer diameter not less than 76mm.
(3) When fixed with cement or brick supports, the pipeline can be built in the supports. When using brackets, racks, or hangers for fixation, U-shaped or other types of pipe clamps need to be installed on the pipes or fittings. Due to the smooth surface of the pipe, in order to prevent the pipe clamp from sliding, a rubber pad should be placed between the pipe surface and the pipe clamp, and the pipe clamp should be tightened with screws to prevent sliding. Then, the pipe clamp should be firmly connected to the support pier, bracket, support, etc. through bolts, etc.
(4) It can also be installed according to the user's drawings. If construction drawings cannot be provided, personnel can be sent to the site to measure, design and manufacture specialized pipeline connectors for the user to connect with mining pipes or connect with seamless steel pipes through quick clamps.
(5) During pipeline installation, it is necessary to keep the warning line on the pipe facing outward, forming a line to indicate safety warning.
